Victoria – St Leonards

Welcome to St Leonards — tucked away on the Bellarine, where calm bay waters and gentle breezes create a chilled little haven for foil fans and beginner kiters. It’s quiet, flat, and made for mellow sessions without the fuss.

Works best on a southerly to southeasterly, which slips in smooth across the water in summer arvos. You’re not getting big wind here — think 10–15 knots on a decent day — but it’s consistent enough to get your wing fix or run a few tacks on the foil.

The beach is low gradient, with a bit of grass to rig and an easy walk-in. There’s a slight wind shadow close to shore thanks to the low houses and trees, so you’ll want to get out a little before locking in that glide.

No big scene here, no lineups. Just bay stillness, clean lines, and plenty of room to do your thing. Portarlington and Point Henry are just up the road if you’re chasing more punch.
