South Australia – Farm Beach, Lower Eyre Peninsula
Welcome to Farm Beach — where dusty tracks roll past grazing paddocks and spill you out onto a shock of turquoise glass. This one's a quiet achiever tucked along the west coast of the Lower Eyre — flatwater for days, and views so clean you’d swear someone turned the contrast up on real life.
With light swell, gentle gradient, and wide shallow zones, Farm Beach is a flatwater kiter’s dream when the SE to SW winds swing through. The seabreeze here feels softer, steadier — perfect for cruisy sessions or laying down your first confident tacks in forgiving water. The kind of spot where you can ride until the sun melts into the water and you still don’t want to pack down.
But be mindful — some wind angles here go offshore, especially E to ENE, and while the water’s mellow, it’s still the open ocean once you drift past the flats. Bring a mate, know your gear, and don’t push your luck too far from shore.
Access is easy — gravel roads in good nick, carpark near the ramp, and space to rig without stepping on someone’s beach towel. Facilities are basic, but if you’re here for the ride, you won’t miss the flash.
