Western Australia – Seven Mile Beach

Dongara Welcome to Seven Mile — the kind of spot where you can lay your lines out without stepping on someone else’s vibe. Just north of Dongara, this beach is long, raw, and reliable when the southerlies switch on.

Clean SE to SW winds blow in most afternoons, giving you the full WA wind machine experience. There’s enough room here for solo sessions, group downwinders, or just long tacks with nothing but wind and whitecaps ahead. Bit of swell, bit of reef, but mostly cruisy — just keep your eyes open near the northern end where the reef creeps closer.

You can get in with a 2WD if you’re sensible, but 4WD will open up more launch options down the beach. No toilets, no taps — just a bin and a bit of shade if you're lucky. So pack your water, respect the dunes, and leave it better than you found it.
