Indented Head – Bellarine Peninsula
Welcome to Indented Head — a low-key spot tucked into the Bellarine coast, serving up easy sessions and laid-back vibes. With shallow water stretching out for ages, it’s a favourite for beginners, cruisers, and foilers looking to just get out and glide.
The magic happens on SE to E winds. These bring clean, cross-onshore flow straight down the bay, smoothing the water and turning it into a flatwater playground. Ideal for progression, carving, or just clocking mellow laps without the chaos.
N and NE winds are technically onshore and doable, but expect some gustiness. The wind travels over land and hits the beach a little unstable — not dangerous, just a bit less reliable. Rideable? Yes. Clean? Not quite.
Watch for swimmers and families during warmer days — the beach is narrow, so launch with care. And steer clear of the Ozone wreck zone at low tide unless you like tangles and toe stubs.
