South Australia – North Shields (Port Lincoln)

Welcome to North Shields — just ten minutes north of Port Lincoln but a world away from the bustle. This is where the wind rolls in steady, the water stretches shallow, and the sandflats shimmer like a desert mirage under a southern sky.

It’s best on southerlies to southeasterlies, when the breeze pours in clean across the bay and turns this quiet stretch into a flatwater dream. On a low tide, the sea pulls back and reveals glassy sandflats that go for miles — ideal for freestyle, foiling, or just cruising without a worry in the world. Mid to high tide gives easier access and keeps you closer to shore, but the magic’s still there.

Easy access, caravan park nearby, and often not a soul in sight — just the smell of salt, the sound of your lines, and the open Gulf ahead.
