Victoria – Hutt Gully
Welcome to Hutt Gully — a wild and exposed pocket just west of Anglesea, known more to surfers than kiters, and that’s saying something. Rugged, raw, and full of energy, this one’s not for the faint-hearted.
Works best in S to SW winds, giving you cross-on to side-shore setups with punchy swell rolling straight in off Bass Strait. When it lines up, it’s a legit wave-riding session with plenty of power in both wind and water.
Access is steep — a stair drop from the roadside with minimal rigging space. The beach is narrow and shifts with the tide, so time your setup carefully and be ready for a surf launch.
