Victoria – Belfast Coastal Reserve
Welcome to the wild stretch between Warrnambool and Port Fairy. Belfast Coastal Reserve isn’t just one kite spot — it’s a full run of open beaches, dune access, and reefy corners with a few gems tucked in if you know where to look.
Most people launch from Killarney, Levy’s Point, or the Gorman’s Lane track. SE to SW winds blow clean in, with the best conditions around low to mid tide depending on where you go. Waves stack up at Levy’s for the surf crew, while Killarney offers protected lagoon options if you want flat water.
Great zone for downwinders between spots, but bring a mate and a plan — there’s not much phone reception or backup out here. Beach driving access in some sections, soft sand warning in others.
A bit of a choose-your-own-adventure zone, but that’s what makes it special.
