South Australia – Port Neill
Welcome to the sleepy town of Port Neill — a classic Eyre Peninsula nook where the bay opens up east into the Spencer Gulf, giving you a stunning morning light show and smooth water sessions when the breeze comes in from the north through southeast.
SE is the go-to here, with the curved shape of the bay wrapping around to offer some protection from stronger gusts. The gradient’s mellow, the rigging spots are open and easy, and the whole place has a chilled, uncrowded feel. On a rising tide, you’ll get smooth runs close to shore — on a drop, watch out for reef patches and rock outcrops.
Foilers will love the space to roam, and if you’re a twin-tip rider, hunt down the shallow flats near the north side for some cheeky freestyle.
A quiet achiever on the Gulf — clean wind, long beach, and no one to snake your set.
