South Australia – Point Bell
Welcome to Point Bell — the untamed edge of the Eyre Peninsula where the wind doesn’t just blow, it commands. Granite slabs, soft dunes, and a horizon that stretches into the wild Bight — this place is as remote as it gets, and that’s its magic.
Works best on SW to SE winds, with the curved coastline giving you plenty of workable angles. Clean cross-shore sessions on a SE, and full-send power on a stiff sou’wester. The water gets deep quick, and there’s often a chunky swell rolling through, so it’s best left to confident riders.
Mid to high tide smooths out the launch. At low tide, expect reef fingers, soft patches, and the occasional “what did I just step on” moment. No crowds, no safety nets — just you, your kite, and the kind of raw coast that feels like the edge of the world.
