Victoria – Point Henry – Geelong
Welcome to Point Henry — Geelong’s little inland lagoon vibe where the wind hugs the bay and the water sits calm, flat, and perfect for line carving.
This one’s a favourite for freestyle heads, beginners, and anyone chasing butter-smooth sessions. When the north to northwest winds fire up, the place lights up — clean cross-shore airflow that runs steady across the shallow Corio Bay. Great for kites, great for wings, and a dream for foilers.
Rigging’s easy — grass underfoot, room to spread out, and barely a stroll to the water. The sand’s mixed with crushed shell and grit, so if your feet are soft, bring booties. At low tide, you might be walking a bit before you're gliding.
No surf, no swell, no drama — just flatwater and flow. Perfect for progression or laid-back laps. Even the carpark’s close, and you’ll often spot a dog or two trotting off-lead while their human sets up a 9m.
Not much in the way of facilities, but you’re here for wind, not luxury. And when it’s on, it’s on — just keep your eyes on the BOM and don’t waste a good NW.
