South Australia – Robe

Welcome to Robe — a historic little town with a long beach and a reputation for reliable wind, clean swell, and good vibes. It’s the Eyre Peninsula’s flashier cousin — still laid-back, but with cafes, a surf scene, and enough room to let your kite fly without feeling like you’ve disappeared off-grid.

Works best on S to SW winds, giving you cross-on conditions along the main stretch of Long Beach. The swell here is consistent but usually manageable — sandbars sort the power, leaving you with soft ramps and playful kickers. Great for twin tippers and wave riders alike.

Launch from anywhere along Long Beach — you can literally drive your car onto the sand. Ideal for quick rigging and easy access, just watch the tides and soft sand traps.

Beginner friendly when it’s calm, and still fun when the wind cranks. There’s room to play, room to downwind, and plenty of places to refuel when you're done.
