Trigg Beach – Perth, WA
Welcome to Trigg — Perth’s salty pulse just north of Scarborough, where surfers, swimmers, and the odd rogue kiter all share the same stretch of sand. It’s not your go-to flatwater spot, but when the seabreeze kicks in and the sandbanks line up, it turns into a spicy little playground.
Best in a solid SW breeze, Trigg delivers punchy beach break conditions with clean ramps for boosting and riding. It’s not beginner-friendly — shifting peaks, rips, and a busy lineup make it a bit of a battlefield. But if you know what you’re doing and time your runs between sets, it’s a blast.
The wind usually fills in after midday, building until sunset. Watch for gusts close to shore and rogue surfers on the inside. Ideal on mid tide — low tide exposes some sketchy rocks, and high tide can dump hard right on the sand.
Access is easy, parking fills fast, and the coffee joints nearby are legit. Just remember: this is a shared zone, so play nice, keep wide, and earn your turns.
