Mesa – WA

Tucked between Yardie Creek and Sandy Bay, Mesa is a quiet stretch of coast with just enough space to rig and ride when the wind fills in. It’s not flashy, but it works — and sometimes, that’s all you need.

Best on SE to SW winds, with the SW seabreeze rolling in clean and cross-shore through the afternoon. SE works too, but can come in a bit gustier early on, especially if it's wrapping off the range.

Launch is off a narrow beach with reef and rock either side. Mid to high tide gives you the safest window. Low tide exposes some nasty stuff — not ideal unless you're experienced and careful.

The water here is reefy with short ride lanes and shallow sections. Good spot for freeriders and foilers looking for space, not style. No kickers, no big tricks — just cruising in a peaceful setting.

No facilities, no backup, and no one to hold your hand. Bring everything and check the tide before you commit. Mesa’s not a destination, but it’s a damn decent backup when the forecast lines up.
